Word Count: 1093 on Our Daughter
Back into it again this morning, right after my morning busy work that has to be done for my day job. I actually enjoy my time writing, it’s the other minutia in life that tends to make juggling a writing vocation with the rest of the world. Here’s to hoping for early retirement soon. Keep your fingers crossed for me, will ya?
This scene I worked on today did not turn out exactly as I had planned. In fact, though the premise remained the same, the entire environment, the people, the actions – all of that was changed. Not sure if I’m 100% happy with the results, but I did get the main point of the drama captured (at least I think so).
At least, now we know something is up. Well, I guess we knew that back in scene two, but that hasn’t even been written yet, so maybe we don’t actually know.
The last couple of days I’ve been really preoccupied with an upcoming project called THE FAMILY FALLS. There is a group of people in this story that are really under my skin. Where they come from, who they actually are, what the ramifications of that are for other groups in the periphery. It’s all very bothersome and unbelievably exciting at the same time. If they keep harassing me, I may bump this one up in front of WRITING TUCKER.
For now I need to finish the manuscript in progress for OUR DAUGHTER, finish the edits on SEEKING LIGHT AURORA and start the edits on IN THE MEADOW. Until then, the family will just have to wait.
