Edits on Both with Help from New Software
I managed to get edits done today on both SEEKING LIGHT AURORA and IN THE MEADOW, all because of a new GTD software I found called Active-To-Do-List. Granted, it is not GTD specific, but it works great for what I want and that says quite a bit since I’m a pretty picky person when it comes to software.
First and foremost, it is, as it’s name implies, a To-Do-List program. But, the greatest features I like are the context labels or categories and the repeat functions.
Now I have my entire list of tasks for my entire life – whether for writing, personal, business, etc – all in one main list. I can quickly add on the fly, edit, delete, mark as done, etc all my tasks. I can sort by category, include Due Dates, remove completed tasks, and only show certain categories if I desire.
This is the first day I’ve been using it, so there is a great deal of testing still to be done before it is officially “useful.” But I will say, it is stable, usable, and easy to understand. Combine this with my GTD Inboxes, and filing system and I’ll be a GTD blackbelt before I know it. š
