Word Count: 1021 Ready to Go. Let’s Go!
I was thinking this morning about a new book project that has been rumbling around in my head the last few months. I don’t want to go into too much detail so as not to spoil it too prematurely, but it has been an idea that has interested me for awhile now. I don’t know if I can pull it off, but I’m going to work on it and see. Let’s just say it got a little clearer this morning.
I got some of the projects I wanted accomplished yesterday done. Got a wall torn down and much of the materials are perfectly fine to be reused. Now I just have to figure out how I’m going to do the next remodel on the new room. I need to add some kind of counter space against two walls. They have to be lower than normal and no hiding spots for things to crawl into hand hide. The same technician from the cable company who installed my business phone a few weeks ago was the same one who came out to fix our internet yesterday. When he came out to the office, he was surprised to see how much different it all looked. When he did the phone, there was just a receptionist desk in the middle of an empty room. Now the gates are up, the book shelf is in, the other walls are up – it actually looks like a real office! Clients seem to really like it, too.
I really like being self-employed. I think I would like writing full time better, but I have to wait until I match my income before I do that. Or, I save enough money to retire outright and then I won’t have to worry about making money with my writing. That would be just as good.
