This is a bit of a sleeper show that I think should get about six or seven seasons, but will probably be cancelled after the first two. It’s about the story behind the creation of the first atomic bomb, out there in the desert, under top secret designation.

It’s actually got some really good production value, some star power, and a good story line to fill in the gaps. I’m not really sure where they can go with it long term. It certainly won’t run for twenty season or anything like that. But it definitely fills the empty space I’ve had for awhile with public television. Most of the time, there simply isn’t anything on worth watching.

With Manhattan, I can even watch the reruns and it’s still pretty good.
