Christopher Ward grew up in a normal Catholic home, in an unexceptional Midwestern life. Yet, as fate would have it, he would not be left long in his mediocrity.

After enlisting in the military and shipping overseas, Christopher quickly rose through the ranks, and entered the elite units, serving in Afghanistan as a Special Operator. The things he saw there in the desert shook Christopher to the core.

Upon his return home, rather than re-embracing regular life, Christoper chose instead to enter Saint Joseph’s Abbey, a small monastery in the rolling cornfields of Massachusetts.
