This article was written in response to a direct request from someone in our Bible study for a Scripture-first roadmap through several disputed topics: biblical anthropology, the intermediate state (including Hades, Paradise, torment, the Abyss, and Tartarus), the resurrection sequence, the rapture, and final judgment.
The goal is not to pressure anyone into a conclusion, but to lay out the relevant biblical passages in a coherent sequence so the reader can examine the text and decide for themselves. Where Scripture speaks clearly, this paper speaks clearly. Where Scripture leaves tensions, this paper names those tensions rather than smoothing them over.
I was asked by a family member the other day if I would send them some information on “bugging out” if the country actually degrades in stability or collapses altogether in the near or distant future. Should we stock up on water? Have a carbine and a truckload of ammunition? What about defensible space? What are you supposed to do if you live in a major city?
Yes, there is a lot of talk about this kind of thing in the entertainment industry, and much, much more online. But there is a stark, cold reality people need to understand about this topic, and I figured I could take a moment to lay out my thoughts.
The next course I selected as part of my Unschooled Master of Theology program was the KI course, The Way of Agape, a topical course by Nancy Missler, which covers God’s love and how we can love others. Here are the Discussion Questions for the entire course along with my responses.

Hi everyone. This is Steven. Just wanted to let everyone know that I am starting my first project here at Isaac Hunter, an approximately 9 month endeavor to survey the foundational material pertaining to our research interests, most specifically:
…examining the interplay between Christian metaphysics (the fundamental nature of existence), biblical anthropology (the elemental components of the tripartite being), personal eschatology (death and the intermediate state), and the evangelistic implications of speculative theology in narrative contexts (quantum physics, relativity, and biblical cosmology)…
So I received an email yesterday while my wife and I were traveling and I was a bit surprised, then a little excited. The email was from Ken Ammi (never heard of him before), and the email basically stated that he had reviewed one of my articles from my website and thought I would like to read it.
Interesting.
I clicked the link and checked out the post he was talking about. You can find it here. It’s titled, “What are Nephilim?” and it was episode 3 of the Isaac Hunter Podcast that I tried out a few years ago (I stopped at episode 10).
I then read his review and found it quite interesting.
I’ve been listening to Jordan Peterson for several years now and I know many have discussed in-depth and voiced a strong desire for Jordan to become a Christian, or to confess Jesus as Lord, etc.
In several videos and interviews I’ve seen him sidestep the question in different ways, but in this interview he is asked the question point blank and he doesn’t really dodge it.
The next course I selected as part of my Unschooled Master of Theology program was the KI course, Discouragement & Trials, which was taught by Joe Focht of Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia. It discusses the tactics and challenges of responding to trials and tribulations in the world today as believers. It reviews several individuals in the Bible who are examples for us of handling adversity well.
