We had our fourth session for our Journey Family Bible Study on the 9th. There was an opportunity for us to talk about the New Testament, the Old Testament, and what it all means. I want to thank everyone who was able to join us and who pushed us with your great questions.

1️⃣ The New Testament begins with Jesus and ends with the future restoration of all things. What part of that story stands out to you the most, and why?
One theme that stood out in our discussion was that the entire New Testament centers on Jesus. Everything begins with His arrival, His life, death, and resurrection, and everything moves toward His eventual return and the restoration of all things. For many people, the most encouraging part of that story is the reminder that the world is not moving toward chaos without purpose. The Bible presents history as moving toward a conclusion where evil is judged, wrongs are made right, and God dwells with His people forever.
2️⃣ After seeing an overview of the New Testament, where do you think you fit into the story right now: learning about Jesus, following Him, asking questions, struggling with faith, or something else?
One thing we emphasized is that people come to the Bible from many different places. Some are learning about Jesus for the first time. Others have followed Him for years. Some are asking difficult questions, while others are struggling with doubts or challenges in their faith. The important thing is not where you start, but that you continue moving forward. Throughout the Gospel of John, we see people from many different backgrounds encountering Jesus with many different questions. The invitation is the same for all of them: keep seeking, keep listening, and keep wrestling honestly with what the text says.
