I had a family member recommend this movie to me when it was playing in theaters. She said it was a great movie and that I just had to see it. So, tonight, there was nothing on tv to watch, so I grabbed a copy and sat down to watch it (after a failed attempt to watch The Heat).

I’m a pretty big Liam Neeson fan, ever since Taken. I absolutely loved him in Unknown and The Grey. But, this movie was pretty disappointing. First off, I’m no fan of Julianne Moore, so that’s strike one. Then, the movie was really good up to the ending. it just – well – ended with some crappy dialogue between Neeson and Moore (I blame her). Strike two. But, the final straw was the evil hijackers. Yeah, everyone loves a twist, but you really have to give them a reason to do it. A few cryptic lines about serving in the military was crap. Where’s my motivation? I need to feel it! Strike three.

Needless to say, not the best movie in the world. But it was better than The Heat.
